We have tried many different grater over the years, but this one is the family favourite. We keep it in the fridge in a greaseproof bag with our cheese. The children can operate it well and tend to have a bowl of grated cheese ready on the table by the time I've got the pasta ready. It does take apart easily for cleaning and we put ours through the dishwasher a couple of times a month. It can also be used to grate chocolate and nuts. It is mainly Stainless steel construction and ours has tolerated the normal family abuse and has continued to grate well.
